Rockstar documents how Max Payne 3 was truly an international production.
While a lot of the principal work for Max Payne 3‘s bullet-riddled adventure was done at Rockstar’s New York office, apparently they had to do a little bit of travel to São Paulo for audio recording and body scanning sessions. In this video, you can see how they worked with the face and voice of retired NYC cop Max Payne, James McCaffrey (pictured below), as well as bringing on board Brazilian soap star Benedita Pereira for the role of Fabiana Blanco.
Besides these two main performers, Rockstar enlisted local artists and performers from the SP (I’m calling it that now) to flesh out the voice cast, including reality star and tattoo artist Zumba Treze, and up-and-coming rapper Tiago RedNiggaz at the Locall Studio down in Brazil. There’s a whole lot more to if if you’d like to learn more about the process of casting Max Payne 3, so head over to Rockstar’s site to check it out.
Max Payne 3 is out now for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be making its way onto the PC this Friday, June 1st, but you can check out Clint’s review of the game here.
